An invited competition entry to reimagine a plot at one of the UK’s key innovation aerospace business / technology parks: AST* were asked to imagine “What if….industrial space in the UK was only funded by zero/low carbon equity/investments?

We worked closely with Whitby Wood engineers to develop a timber/CLT super structure concept with a recycled skin of translucent plastic / aluminium. Using an all electric (renewable) system, augmented by a shallow site wide heat pump system and PV facade as well as suggested on site wind power.

We believe that no brief is too dull, no budget too small, no user group not worthy, of good quality, socially responsible architecture.
